Typically the high profile custom rides at the SEMA Show come from major automakers and tuning houses. But sometimes individual tuners cut through the clutter with a standout project, like this 1974 Datsun pickup modified by Dominic Le.
But Le’s Datsun Ute is unlike any you might have seen before. It has the front end from a 70’s Skyline GT-R, an 8-inch suspension drop, powered by a stroked 2.2L Nissan SR-20 turbocharged engine. It even has mirrors mounted all JDM-style way out on the front guards, some fat Toyo tyres and the original right-hand drive setup.
