Our first look at Top Gear Series 24

The BBC has released a trailer for the new Series 24 of Top Gear, giving us all a glimpse of what the newly revamped (of a revamp) version of the long-running motoring show is going to look like.

For a kick off, it looks a lot less shouty – namely because Chris Evans will no longer be part of the show. Evans resigned following the abysmal Series 23, which saw the new hosting lineup fail to gain any traction in the ratings department.

Perhaps the saving grace of Series 23 was Matt LeBlanc, who seemed more comfortable and natural infront of the camera. No surprises then, that LeBlanc will be more front and centre in the latest installment that the BBC is hoping will capture a new audience and keep the Top Gear machine moving forward instead of stalling out. After all, how hard could it be?

The new trailer shows Matt and his two other co-hosts, Chris Harris and Rory Reid, in a no-hands drag race. Clever and funny? It looks promising – but we’ll have to wait and see.

It seems to harken back to the days of Clarkson, Hammond and May, with the more humorous side of motoring news. They and their team took that winning formula to their new program, The Grand Tour on Amazon, which has had high ratings and popularity.

The Grand Tour’s popularity proves that people love the Clarkson, Hammond and May team and want that.

Well, no-hands drag race is already been performed by TG US and i freely admit after i watched ‘new’ TG UK, TG US feels much, much, much more entertaining due to better chemistry of their trio
