Jeremy Clarkson, Richard Hammond and James May were all spotted at a vintage car auction on the weekend, cracking jokes as they leafed through the auction catalogue.
The trio were spotted at Coys at Ascot Racecourse on Saturday, which was billed as an Auction of Fine Historic Automobiles, and lots included a Bentley-Royce 8.0L V12 supercharged special (1936), a BMW Isetta 250CC (1955) and a Fiat Topolino (1937). Although these were the most expensive models on offer, with the former carrying a price tag of £160,000.
At this stage it isn’t clear what the presenters were doing there or if they were the highest bidders on any of the vehicles, however an off-road modified Mercedes-Benz the trio were previously spotted driving was one of the lots on offer – which perhaps the boys were trying to sell for a profit.

Sir… I saw Jeremy tweet that for security reasons the show cannot have a “Gear” in its name.
We’re aware, but until the proper name is announced we’ve got nothing else to call it.
Or maybe they are filming its purchase (even though they were already seen in it). I know shows that kinda work backwards at some points.
Definitely possible!
