The Grand Tour team have been spotted out and about in various locations around the world as they film segments for the first series of their new Amazon show. At this stage we should see the first series go to air in early-to-mid 2016, but I’ll update you all as soon as the date is confirmed.
Below is a list of what I’ve found out about Series 1 of the show so far, and I’ll update this post with new sightings as they come to hand. If you’d like to keep up to date with how things progress, be sure to bookmark this page in your browser.

Clarkson and Hammond compare the Ford Focus RS and Ford Mustang (08/05/2016)
Jeremy Clarkson and Richard Hammond have been seen doing track work and performing burnouts in the new Ford Focus RS and Mustang. Pictures show Richard filling up the car at a petrol station before filming, as well as discussing the stunt afterwards with Jeremy.
Clarkson, Hammond and May on the Game of Thrones set (19/03/2016)
Jeremy Clarkson, Richard Hammond and James May have seemingly embraced their inner nerds, as they were spotted filming their long-awaited new Amazon Prime series on the Game of Thrones set, located at Atlas Studios on the outskirts of Marrakech, Morocco. As if that wasn’t nerdy enough already, the same compound in the desert city of Ouarzazate was also where segments of the original Star Wars movie was filmed.
We can reveal that for this journey, Jeremy was driving a white Alfa Romeo 4C Spider, while Richard and James were in a red Mazda MX-5 and Zenos E10 roadsters – though we’re not sure at this stage who was in what. The Zenos E10 is an interesting choice, as it is a track-focused yet road legal sports car based on the Lotus Elise.
Clarkson, Hammond and May are in North Africa (15/03/2016)
Jeremy Clarkson has posted a photo on Twitter, showing himself, Richard Hammond and James May in North Africa. They’re “flat out” apparently, though no other details are available at this stage.
CHM trio spotted driving off-road modified Mercedes (07/03/2016)
Jeremy Clarkson, Richard Hammond and James May have been spotted driving a strange looking off-road modified Mercedes-Benz through the quiet country town of Cobham, Surrey. The footage captured above shows Jeremy slowing down to ask onlookers “are you filming this car because it’s excellent?” James May was in the passenger seat while Richard Hammond can be seen in the back seat.
CHM using old cars to build artificial reef in Barbados (25/02/2016)
Jeremy Clarkson, Richard Hammond and James May have all been spotted in Barbados, topping up their tans in board shorts during their laid-back day on set by the waterfront. For their first day of filming, the stars were spotted on a barge, seemingly transporting a chassis of old cars into open waters. It appears the vehicles were being dropped onto the seabed to create an artificial reef.
Clarkson, Hammond and May have been having a blast during filming, enjoying time on the beach and jet ski rides in among their filming commitment.
Richard Hammond driving new Mustang GT in London (12/02/2016)
Richard Hammond has been spotted driving a new Ford Mustang GT through London, accompanied by a police motorbike escort. According to witnesses, Richard was revving the engine and roared his way through Westminster, and past the iconic Houses of Parliament.
The Great Hypercar Showdown (08/10/2015)
That’s right! The boys have finally got the Ferrari LaFerrari, McLaren P1 and Porsche 918 exactly where they want them! Well, almost. You see, they aren’t at the Dunsfold Park Test Track at all, otherwise known as the ‘Top Gear Test Track’. Instead, they’re at Portimao Circuit in Portugal where they’ve started filming for Series 1 of the show with arguably the part we’re all dying to see – a The Great Hypercar Showdown! According to Clarkson, they’re filming with a ‘skeleton crew’ (yeah, right) which clearly consists of team members from Ferrari, McLaren and Porsche.
More updates as they happen.

Notice that the registration plate in the Feb spotting of the red mustang is the same as the photo taken in may…..
Have my fingers crossed for more adventures/CCCs
CCCs were the best part of TG, that and the news segments (those were hilarious 90% of the time).
Whats CCC?
That would be Cheap Car Challenge.
Oh yeah, those were so freakin’ awesome
The other day clarkson tweeted about how well the days filming had gone .
Honestly, I’m fine with all of this and I’m very excited for the return of the boys.
…as long as Hammond shaves first.
I wonder if Hammond got fined for revving his engine in central London 😛 (for those that don’t know apparently a law was passed saying that you can’t rev a supercar in the city because people found it annoying.
Also, I think the new show should be called “The good, the bad and the ugly”
The good is Hammond, the bad is Jezza and the ugly is Slow xD
The results from this test will be about 10% reliable lol.
