Jeremy Clarkson, Richard Hammond and James May have seemingly embraced their inner nerds, as they were spotted filming their long-awaited new Amazon Prime series on the Game of Thrones set, located at Atlas Studios on the outskirts of Marrakech, Morocco. As if that wasn’t nerdy enough already, the same compound in the desert city of Ouarzazate was also where segments of the original Star Wars movie was filmed.
We can reveal that for this journey, Jeremy was driving a white Alfa Romeo 4C Spider, while Richard and James were in a red Mazda MX-5 and Zenos E10 roadsters – though we’re not sure at this stage who was in what. The Zenos E10 is an interesting choice, as it is a track-focused yet road legal sports car based on the Lotus Elise.
Onlookers have said that Jeremy looked to be in charge again, dishing out orders on set, while Richard and James seemed happy enough to hang back and play sidekicks once again.
The gang appeared to be happy and carefree as they filmed on set, which is a far cry from the controversy that has gripped their former show, Top Gear, back in London.
