James May reveals when The Grand Tour Series 2 will begin

Grand Tour fans rejoice – the second series of your favourite car show will be ready to stream on Amazon Prime sometime in October 2017! Well, that’s according to James May anyway.

The second series of The Grand Tour will launch almost a year after the first, which saw Jeremy Clarkson, Richard Hammond and James May travel the world from the Californian desert to South Africa, to the Netherlands and Namibia, and even around the United Kingdom.

Speaking on The One Show on Monday June 5, James revealed when viewers can expect the next batch of episodes to appear.

“October is when you’ll first be able to see it,” he said. “But after that, you’ll be able to see it whenever you want, of course. I’m told to say that!”

The One Show’s host Matt Baker also asked May how much was being spent on the upcoming series, to which James quipped: “As little as possible. No, it’s about the same, I would think. It is quite an expensive show to make.”

“There’s a lot of travel involved. There’s a lot of crew involved. There’s a lot of tech involved, filming in 4K. But that’s boring stuff,” May added.

“It’s going to look largely the same, but we’ve moved it on a bit in a way that I can’t really tell you about yet because you’re the enemy and it’s secret!”

Is this just wishful thinking or is May’s answer confirmation that season 2 will be released all at once? He does say we will be able to see it whenever we wan’t. Hope they do like Netflix, a bit annoying to have wait so long for each episode.

No problem Sean , glad I could help with the info , so it’s makes sense to start in October so after 12 weeks series 2 would finish with the last episode on the xmas special at xmas time for once , so I’m guessing oct 13th fri start and end Dec 29th fri.
