- The boys embark on an epic 1000 kilometre trip from the shores of the salt water Black Sea in Georgia to the edge of the freshwater Caspian Sea in Azerbaijan.
Episode Guide
In this episode Jeremy Clarkson, Richard Hammond and James May are driving the Aston Martin DBS, the Bentley Continental GT and the BMW M850i on an epic 1000 kilometre trip from the shores of the salt water Black Sea in Georgia to the edge of the freshwater Caspian Sea in Azerbaijan. Their purpose? They’ll be attempting to find the best car for someone who lives in Georgia but really craves freshwater fish. Because that makes sense, right?
Along the way, they encounter strange bathing regimes, moveable borders, incredible monuments and a bladder bursting way to check track performance before arriving in the Azerbaijani capital, Baku, for a race and then some bream.

Great episode. looking forward to the future of TGT if that’s where they are going with it. Sure, I’d miss Conversation Street (aka. “The News”) but overall, that’s the format I want.
Now, talking about the cars: I’d take the BMW over the others. The Aston looks amazing and it’s a real dream car, but the BMW is just superb. And quite frankly, I hate BMW as a company. I hate the german car industry as a whole just so much for the strnglehold they have on the rest of the german industry and what they are doing to the environment.
Incidentially, the Bentley is just a big, fat, ugly Audi for big, fat, ugly Audi drivers. Nothing of value to be found in that.
A Deja Vu of GT S01E03,they bring back the classic raod trip style content.I agree all cars are brilliant, but this kind of contents may imply what we will get since S04.A full length special without studio contents or track test.Looking forward to the new form. But looking forward to more historic contents too.
Episodes 12 and 14 are probably going to be the last of the old style format. Which GT car did you like most?
If just in these 3,I’d say AM.If just a Grand Tourer,then maybe S1 E-type Jag 3.8 OTS
The best episode of the Series so far!!!!! I loved the comparison tests, the challenges and the spectacular scenery. After watching this episode I’ve decided that I want a DBS more than I need my next breath. Throw a Conti in there as well.
