French automotive website The Automobilist have published leaked photos of a new Renault Clio RS, or a concept precursor, ahead of its debut next week at the Monaco Grand Prix.
Among the most noticeable changes between this Clio RS and the car that’s currently in showrooms is a wider track, and wheel arch extensions at both the front and back. They are accompanied by new side sills and front splitters.
Black is highlight colour of the day, with the never-out-of-vogue shade gracing the wheels and rear diffuser-style element. Other changes include a high-rise rear spoiler, and chequered flag fog lights on either side of the lower air intake.
The French website believes that toughened up styling will be backed up by more horsepower, with the 1.6L turbocharged petrol engine tipped to deliver around 186kW (250hp).
That’s up from today’s most powerful Clio RS variant, the RS220 Trophy, which has 162kW (220hp) of power and 260Nm of torque at its disposal.
