Alfa Romeo’s new Giulia small sports sedan has finally landed, marking the start of a renaissance for the illustrious Italian brand as well as serving as a clear shot across the bow of rivals.
Right now the Giulia has only been shown in high-performance Quadrifoglio trim. This 510-horsepower variant is aimed at the likes of the BMW M3 and Mercedes-AMG C63.
The Giulia is set to go on sale in Europe later this year, with this Quadrifoglio variant coming first. An Australian launch will likely take place sometime in 2016 or perhaps early 2017. At present, we still don’t know what Alfa Romeo has in store for the rest of the Giulia lineup. If all goes to plan, seven additional Alfas will be launched in quick succession, including models positioned above the Giulia and below it.
