The Grand Tour’s highly anticipated Colombia Special is just around the corner, and we’ve got some juicy new details about what they’ve got in store for us – including a confirmed release date and episode synopsis. So if you don’t like spoilers, you better stop reading now.

You’re still here? Well you’ll be glad to know that we finally have a confirmed release date for The Grand Tour Colombia Special. It’ll be streaming in two parts, with the first being available on January 25th 2019. So the Colombia Special will make up Episodes 2 & 3 of The Grand Tour Series 3, after Episode 1 Motown Funk.

The Colombia Special is the first episode of The Grand Tour to be filmed in South America, and also the first time Jeremy Clarkson, Richard Hammond, and James May have filmed there together since Top Gear’s infamous Patagonia Special. So let’s hope things end a little better this time around.

In the two-part special, Clarkson, Hammond and May head to Colombia in an attempt to capture some high-quality photos of interesting animals to be used as Amazon’s new screensavers. In order to do this, the trio elect to do most of their wildlife photography from cars they’ve selected – with Clarkson in a Jeep Wrangler, Hammond opting for a lifted flame-red Chevrolet Silverado pick-up, and May cramming himself into a tiny Fiat Panda 4×4.

Along the way they encounter epic scenery, extreme peril, very odd hobbies and even some actual animals in what should be an incredible journey across one of the most stunning and fascinating countries on earth. And a warning: the Colombia Special also contains scenes that donkey enthusiasts may find disturbing.

The Grand Tour Colombia Special was originally scheduled to be filmed in October 2017, however following Jeremy Clarkson’s bout of pneumonia, these plans were delayed until January 2018. Due to the late filming of the episode, it was never going to be ready in time for The Grand Tour’s Series 2 run.

TGT is shot entirely in 4K, you have to watch on a supported system and app

Actually it won’t, based on various Sources and the Times, the next episode will be about Pick Up Trucks in Wales and the Jaguar XE SV Project 8. BTW what’s the title of the special.
